I have a fleet of 10 Chevy express van 2500s that all came from the factory with speed limiters at 75mph. These vary in MY from 2020 to 2023. I am wondering if I will be able to remove these limiters with hp tuners? All the dealers claim they can?t or won?t remove them so I?m looking for insight on how I could go about this?
75 mph is pretty low, but I'd make sure the limiter is not there to combat a low natural frequency of the driveshaft. See also: Exploding Silverados.
Super common for fleets to limit them to 75mph. All penske rental vans/trucks are limited to 75mph.
I don't see why you couldn't remove the limiter, they use GM computers like everything else.
2016 Silverado CCSB 5.3/6L80e, not as slow but still heavy.
If you don't post your tune and logs when you have questions you aren't helping yourself.
