    Gm gen swap transmission

Hey guys, new to gen v's so any help will be greatly appreciated. Have been working on gen v swap out of 2017 camaro into 1956 chevy. Got vats disabled and motor to run, however now have nothing from transmission, I have read that they need to be unlocked, but also read that as long as they were originally pair together that they don't. Engine transmission and all computers came from same donor, any input would be great

Just wanted to post an update, while checking it over the weekend and logging gear selection and a number of other transmission channels noticed all gears were commanded and recognized. Also happen to notice line pressure would go up then to 0, asked the installer if it was full of oil because it was not holding constant pressure. He said it was never broken apart from wrecking yard but would check on Monday. Got a call this morning and sure enough it was 5 quarts low on fluid and will now go in gear and move
