2003 7.3 PSD VIN issue

OK , so before I start down this rabbit hole . When I read the system on my 03 7.2 I get a pop up that says that a VIN couldnt be read and wants me to know if I want one assigned. This is after I even entered the VIN manually. Anyne have any experience with this or is this going to become a dead end that I bought credits for that ends up not working ?

if you want to flash it you need to put in a vin so that way when you do flash the truck, hptuners is registered to the vin and you don t have to buy credits every time you flash.
