Ram 5.7 with 6.4 non MDS cam

    So far...

I took in a 6.4 non MDS cam in our Ram 5.7 and delete all MDS.

I know its not the perfect option for a truck. The big different seems the LSA from 114 to 121?

Now Im not sure what values to set in the PCM. Should I use the 2500 Ram data - uses 114 LSA or the 6.4 shifter data from the Charger ?

I think the intake centerline is different, so i have to substract 8-10? like in the GPEC2.

    Thanks

not sure what you mean as the wider lobe separation that is ground into the 392 cam will help a heavy truck and

as with any engine you determine where you want the intake centerline

My problem is, I cant find the ICL and LSA of the stock 53022314ad truck cam 5.7.

Even the 6.4 truck cam 5045517ac is unknown.

The 6.4 non MDS cam ( Car) Ive got now seems to have 286/288 Dur, 46 Overlap, 121 LSA 108 ICL

Maybe its more simple and I have to go with the car cam data in my tune ? but where is the icl to set ?

the distance from the centerline of either lobe to tdc for that cylinder is not ground into a cam

and gen 3 hemi tuning only uses exhaust numbers...

    So, the question is…

    Where is the cam grounded…

Should I use the gpec2 data from the srt minus 10 degrees for the ngc4 ?

Because when you take a 6.4 cam in a 5.7 the calibration of the gpec2 in the srt is different.

Thats why Im asking this. Seems the NGC4 is similar by changing the cam.

The 5.7s have 85* under light throttle, the 6.4s 93*. Its the same scheme I m thinking...

Not onle the calibration is different, even the LSA makes a difference.

Ive asking this a long time ago for the gpec2a swap, seems no one got the knowledge to explain this clearly

did you ever figure out icl? ive got a built 13 ram 5.7 with the srt non mds cam which is boosted, i have found best results around 120 degree exhaust for power and economy. but im wanting to figure out icl so i can fine tune things. cruising likes 120ish and wot above 4k im down to 113 degrees then 111 at 6k
