    Crankshaft Re-Learn?

    Hello,

On my 1996 GMC with 5.7L Vortec, 4L60E and 3.73:1 rear gear. I attempted to conduct a crankshaft relearn more than once, I still get a 1336 DTC code. These are the steps I took to do a crankshaft relearn; E brake, foot brake, start engine, accelerate to fuel cut off, let the RPM's fall and cycled the switch. Did I miss a step?

    Thanks in advance.

I always use a different tool than HP Tuners because it rarely if ever seems to function right.
2016 Silverado CCSB 5.3/6L80e, not as slow but still heavy.

If you don't post your tune and logs when you have questions you aren't helping yourself.

    Good morning,

Thanks for the response. What tool or device do you use for crank relearn?

thats all i do, and have no issues. when it revs up and then the computer kills the fuel itll drop rpms, thats when i let off the throttle.
if youre having an issue, your ebrake wire might be the problem.

Will it show successful after the throttle drops off or when you cycle the key?

Personally I use Tech2Win and my MDI2 for older vehicles <2013 and GDS2 for >2013. The process is different for the different makes, models and years but here is the most common process.
    Engine to warmed status
    Park brake on.
    Accessories off.
Sometimes it will go right in sometimes you have to key off, key on and start
It will ask to floor the pedal and release when it hits a low rpm limiter.
It will slowly come down to an idle (2 seconds or so).
It will give a prompt telling me it was successful.
