Help new user to hp tuners

Hey all. Just curious. With using the mvip3.

    Its

    Register the device/resync with interface
    Pull tune
    Buy credits
    Licence vin/file
    Play with tune
    Reflash into pcm

    Is that correct?

    For the most part, yes.
2016 Silverado CCSB 5.3/6L80e, not as slow but still heavy.

If you don't post your tune and logs when you have questions you aren't helping yourself.

Yes. You can read and play with the tune all you want. Don't need to pay for license until it's time to write.

Before doing any tuning, always save a full backup of the tune and keep it in a safe location.

Don't write entire a tune from a different vehicle. Make changes to your own file based on a comparison of that file.

Don't unplug while writing. Don't let your laptop battery die. Obvious stuff like that.

Also read the table information at the bottom of the screen when you move your curser over that table button. Things like Pedal vs RPM or almost anything to do with the ETC tables can cause you to brick the PCM if moved to far from factory, thats assuming youre running DBW not DBC obviously.
