2022 RXP Controller Init: Failed

So I'm getting this error when I try to do the first write with OS patch. Saw someone else have similar issue with another model and they mentioned having to mail in the ECU, this would be a major headache since I was finally planning to get going with this this weekend.

I was able to do the virtual read fine to get the stock file but can't write.

Ah got it to work, saw someone mention to power up the ski after pressing write which worked. Strange.
