Can anyone provide best practice instructions or general guidelines on how to delete or disable vats/skim with hptuners. I am a Locksmith and alot of these older systems are giving us trouble and where it makes sense it would be nice to have the capability to just turn them off. But can get a straight answer as far as how to do so.

In most applications the vats/skim disable switch is found under the system tab. In most applications this is enough to full disable skim.
In some applications(mostly GM) we've added vats patches found under the OS table that are required.
In other applications where there isnt a simple vats on/off switch some vats related DTC's also need to be disabled to fully disable vats.
We do not offer vats disable in all applications as in reality OEM's really didn't have the forward thinking to think people would be trying to disable a security feature.
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

Isnt it true thta in alot of cases there are steps that need to be taken after the disable is written in? Such as unplugging a skim module on a chrysler,dodge,jeep
