    Cool 4L60E to NV4500 Swap Guide (GMT-800)

I recently completed a 4L60E to NV4500 swap in my 2003 GMC Yukon XL. It took me years of periodic research to gather all of the necessary information before I started my swap. I decided to do the world a favor by creating a comprehensive Swap Guide. Naturally there's a whole section on using HPTuners for the PCM-related portion of the swap. The other sections deal with mechanical, electrical and hydraulic content.

    Enjoy!

10 Aug 23 Update: Swap Guide updated with additional information. Now sitting at 23 pages of swap goodness!

5_speeds... I'm very interested in this information, and thanks in advance for putting it together. I'm new to the site, I can't figure out how to get the file to open. Any help? Thanks

If you're logged into the Forums you'll be able to download the file. It's just a plain PDF file. Naturally, you'll need a PDF viewer to see/print it. If your web browser doesn't already have a PDF viewer built in, install the free Adobe Acrobat Reader application.

I loved the factory GM 2003 L31/5spd Tahoe I owned. Put 50K miles on it in 2 years. Wish I had never sold it. Getting it registered was always pain though.

Hey, I've completed this swap in a 2002 chevy suburban 1500 4x4. I'm having 2 issues atm, the reverse lights work when I test the sensor when it's out of the transmission but when it's screwed in the reverse lights do not work. The other issues is it's a 4x4 ans I have no speedometer with ABS light on. Its confusing because the same harness for the 4x4 to engine is ran through the same 2 wire harness connecting the old transmission and my 4x4 works just fine just not the speedometer any help would be appreciated
