    E85 non sensor

    ? WILL e38 ecm run straight e85 will out a sensor ? i changed stoich from 14.62 to 10.004 , Now the car will not run but about 5 min then shuts off, I know i can use sensor and pin 40 ,but i was going straight e85 all the time .THIS method worked on 0411 ecm

    Yes. Only need for a sensor is if you want to run flex fuel. If your fuel never changes, set your stoich and start tuning.

    Yes it can run without the sensor. What did your EQ ratio look like when idling? Also what percentage e85 did you add and how much. How much gas was left in the tank?

    Unless your buying race E85 from like VP racing you going to get an inconsistant mix of E85.

    I've seen between E55-E78ish out of the pump.

    Using a sensor is a much better option.

    Agreed but I also ran this way for like 10 years back in the day before flex sensors on my DSM. Then did it in my CTS-V1 for a few years. I would find a good gas station that is consistent like Kum and Go in my area. E70 all year long. Also would tune WOT to e85 that way if I got something with more gas it just runs richer.

    Same.. but with the sensors available there is no reason not to use it. If you can't afford a sensor just wait on the whole project.

    lol buying sensor is far from problem This a play toy ,and i got hook up on E85 .MY turbo truck and my ls swapped s10 are straight e 85 . i get e 85 so Quick and i just trying use all i get
