2005 gto can't connect.

I accidentally posted in the lounge, sorry for the repeat.


I decided to finally hook my mpvi2. I get the unable to detect vehicle diagnostic. I've checked the fuse, waited before reconnecting, resync, restart etc. I see the lights flashing on the ob2 unit. Any suggestions?

Unable to detect the vehicles diagnostics protocol

I verified my unit works and laptop by hooking it up to my truck, it connects immediately. I checked fuses again and still nothing on the gto. I went a step further and hooked up my $10 Bluetooth obd2 scanner and it works no problem with the gto. Is something locked out for hptuners to work with the gtos can bus?
