Scanning my truck I'm left with a .hpl format file. The editor requires a .hpt format file. I do an export from the scanner but its not providing me with the correct format. What am doing wrong....please?

Scanning my truck I'm left with a .hpl format file. The editor requires a .hpt format file. I do an export from the scanner but its not providing me with the correct format. What am doing wrong....please?
You read the file through the editor for a .hpt file.
You have to use editor to read the calibration from your ecm. Be certain you maintain good battery voltage during reading and writing. Use a jump box, extra battery, charger etc... whatever it takes to not have a low voltage condition.
Scanner is for data logging.
use VCM Scanner to view scanner files.
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...
