Got a Questions about maybe False Knock?

    Hey guys!

Im not new to HP, just to Nitrous Tuning..

HOWEVER, this is not a nitrous related question...

I hooked up the VCM scanner to my 2000 Camaro, and I was seeing A TON of knock at just blipping the throttle..

It was showing inbetween 4-9.5* of KR.. I took the car to WOT and NO KR. I preceded to Shot the DRY 100 shot of nitrous and got NO KR....

I turned the Timing down to 7.5 ABSOLUTE (I know its low and not correct) and then turned the AFR 11.7 and STILL GOT 4-6* of knock on NO nitrous, just at the little thorttle blips...

Is it possible Im experience False Knock?? I cant decided whether to step it up to the 150, but I dont even want to shoot the 100 right now until I get this figured out.......

Under 100 Shot at the change between 1-2 gear (A4) I got like 3*.. So i let out really quick...

ALSO I descreened the MAF for the DRY shot.... Could it be possible its that?

If it is the MAF what should i do.....

yes it very well could be false knock.
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

False KR is actually very plauseable. The harmonics of the KR sensors are good, but not perfect.

If you have forged pistons (I hope you do with N2O ) and they are a little "loose" in the bore you could be picking up a bit of piston slap. If so, just turn the Knock Total Gain values up a bit at idle RPM & MAP and just above there.
