EWG up pipe on a stock turbo?

I'm considering locking out the IWG on the stock turbo on my '16 STI and using an EWG up pipe from PLM or similar. Has anyone done something like this before? Am I able to use the stock boost control solenoid, or will I have to swap to an aftermarket EBC? My reason for asking in here is, I would prefer to use the stock solenoid and tune it the same way as the stock IWG. TIA

This has been done for decades on these cars. You can probably use the stock solenoid... I've never used it past the stock turbo. I'd get a 3 or 4-port EBCS.
