Custom PID

Can someone please help me add a custom PID that monitors misfire by cylinder? I have one or two misifires I can't find and misfire by cylinder is not available in my list of channels to add.

I have absolutely zero clue where to begin.

You need to switch to knock per cyl first.

Get something that can read Mode 6 data from the PCM. I use Forscan.

Where or how is this done. I am a network engineer and can navigate software pretty well, but not seeing knock per cylinder.

Engine->Spark->Retard->Knock Mode, set to "Per Cyl"

Did that, the engine runs differently, but still no per cylinder PID to figure out which cylinder(s) is misfiring.

You might have to tell VCM scanner to poll supported PIDs before it will show
