#7 injector shuts off no codes

    2008 5.3LH6 Envoy E67 T42 DOD deleted
im totally stumped on this and could use any help available.
What would cause only one injector to shut off after starting ? #7 injector has good power, opened the harness up and replaced the control wire with same result. unplug #7 injector and get no open circuit DTC but any other injector will set a inj circuit code. Unplug the coil harness and crank it over and #7 injector pulses cranking only. gone through the harness with a fine tooth comb and cant find anything. Replaced the ECM and TCM with same results.
Have not programmed the ECU for DOD deletion yet as IM unsure if the ECM is any good or not. Should still idle on all cylinders if DOD is deleted right ?

No actually it won't.. You need to disable the codes for DOD too.

If you remove the DOD stuff and do not handle the tune.. they sit there and miss an idle.

The previous owner was fighting this problem when it was all stock, he replaced the VLOM and new lifters and kept getting a dead hole on #7 as if the DOD was stuck on. I deleted it all out put a new cam and non DOD lifters and has compression but wont fire on 7 only. idles nicely on 7 cylinders till I put in gear than DOD tries to do its job. Ill try licensing it and go from there. Thanks

And you have moved this injector to a different hole and the problem remains on #7?

Usually removing DOD stuff without turning it off in the tune gives misfires on all 4 DOD cylinders - 1, 4, 6 & 7.

Can you plug the VLOM back in? Not installed of course, just the electrical so that it doesn't see stuff missing.
