Arrow Tunning Basic information for DIY Enthusiast

    Hello Guys.

I am really new to tunning and i am very fascinating towards it.I am not a professional. I really at beginner level. But tuning has changed my life. I can get what i want from my car and it drive the way i want it to drive. Before tuning i build couple of ls motors and few 4 cylinder honda, Toyota engines and i love machines. I was only limited to mediocre Mods like cold air intake cat back exhaust etc. When I start tuning I am learning new every day. I own MPVI 3 i bought it year ago. I can understand everything every table. I did little tweaks to my friends ride too and they are pretty happy. I come across something new every day. As i said i can understand every table but i am not sure about the values in tables.

What i am looking for -

    1. What is idle tune for car?
    2. Does car run better in open loop or close loop?
    3. What is wideband? What it does? How does it work? Can i install it on. my car? Or i have to weld a coustom bung for it? I know some. vehicles. are equipped with wideband.
    4. What is idle afr for any car is it 14:1? What things are i have to take care if i am changing it?
    5. If i change cam what tables should it look at first?
    6. What is VEE table do? What is virtual torque table?
    7. What is most basic things if have to check in VCM scanner if i am logging?
    8. RICH OR LEAN which is better?
    9. Why MAF sensor delete is good idea?
    10. Are there any DTC codes which should not exist?

Again guys thanks in advance. I know there are many tuning course available but i want to learn it while doing it. I want to take benefits of this community created by HP tunners.
