Does e38 2bar OS reference VVE table?

    Tuning a 2008 Silverado 4.8 with a 76 mm turbo.

If I put it in Maf-only mode with this 2bar OS (we get a 1024 g/s Maf extension with that 2bar OS), would it reference the new VE tables "Normal IMRC Closed/Open" we get with the 2 bar OS during throttle transients?

Those VE tables are tuned already, I'm only asking about how the MAF-only mode would interact with these tables during transients. Or would it reference the old VVE coefficients somehow?

Part of the 2bar enhanced OS is you lose the VVE and get regular old fashioned VE tables in their place, so I'm not sure I follow the question. It would use your VE table and yes it would be the open table.

If you're in Maf mode with the gen 4 e38 2 bar OS, is the GMVE based VE table in that custom OS referenced during hard throttle transients?

Again, I'm not asking for anyone to recommend the airflow model I should go with, simply asking which table is referenced during sharp throttle transients if your high rpm disable and enable are set to 400/390 (maf mode)?

VE is ALWAYS referenced for transient fueling as the initial correction Doesn't matter if in MAF mode or not. It will bias back to MAF in steady state. Even WOT to a degree will reference the VE because of the biasing and the constant rpm change. Just part of the reason why it's important that everything be dialed in correctly. Even on the OE ones where it looks like they didn't dial them in above 3000 rpms if you look at the VE tables closely you'll see the VE is dialed in right where the airflow goes for wot and dialed in again just for the high rpm low load. They just don't bother with that mid range area on certain year platforms for some weird reason.

The what is dynamic airflow thread has the patent references in it for this. I think Verlon might have posted the most recent reference there.
