"Fuel trims" question....using WB

When the NB has been replaced with the WB in a V6 forcing OL, why would we reset fuel trims? Looks like all trims are dissabled because of OL.
Have been hitting the reset of fuel trims but wondering if this step is really necessary?

It's just a good practice to check the fuel trims after a write. After the first write if the O2S1 was removed, and the fuel trims reset, the LTFT's will stay at 0 the next time you write to the pcm. This is because the pcm's fuel trims are not erased after a write.
