5.3L in front of 1995 4L60e with 2000 Silverado ecu

I'm making a couple changes for the latest project that has a good 95 4L60e bolted to a 2000 5.3L. I've read a few different places that the computer will have no issues controlling it. But, do I need to turn anything off or adjust anything in the tune for this vs the 2000 4L60e? All of my previous projects have had non-electronic transmissions or what the motor had attached, originally.

I don't know enough about the different computers to say if it will control it or not, but I wanted to point out that if you have any way of installing a 96 and up 4L60E you should go that route. 1995 was a unique year, it is all by itself and it can be a pain to find some replacement part for the valve body when needed. 1993-94 had ON-OFF lock-up, 96 and up have PWM ECCC lock-up strategy, 1995 was the transition year where they use PWM but no ECCC strategy.

The trans was good and fully functional. I've read where people have used them without issue for many miles, but they're uncertain what their programmer did (if anything special). If he replaces the 4l60e, he'd likely just go with a newer one that was originally attached to an LS. Does anything need to be done to run the 96+ 4l60e with the P01?

I'm fairly sure you'll be ok.

the 24x swaps and torq head swaps seem to work with them just fine.
