    Small Annoyances w/ C6 Flashing

    V2.1.16 on my '05 MN6 LS2 C6.

Whenever I flash my vette it goes through "Service Engine", "Service Active Handling", etc. This did not occur when I used to flash my C5. Also my average MPG goes to zero and I don't recall that being the case w/ my old C5.

Small things that certainly do not impede my ability to use the product, but worth noting perhaps.

This is reported on the IPC right?
Is that "during" the reflash or after?

Also, standard write, or write entire?
Write entire wipes out everything (except the embedded boot loader) on the PCM.

I think those modules are trying to communicate with the PCM during the write. At most they will log a U10xx code. No biggie.

Sorry, should have mentioned that this is only when writing a calibration. The service x,y,z shows up on the DIC during the writing of the calibration and ceases afterward. The average MPG is zero after writing the calibration.

I'm getting the latest GM OS flashed onto the PCM early next week. Perhaps that will have some effect.

Hmm.. Didn't know about the Average MPG being reset. Might be a bug or maybe it's stored in the PCM and gets written over when space is used to upload the program.

Ha! as many C6's as I've worked on and never noticed that little oddity.
