    Getting a P0606 Code

After a lot of work and finding out that our TCM and ECM/TCM computer were not compatible we got that figured out. Working through tuning and we are having some issues with throttle response. We get the P0606 code. A little bit of throttle and lightly pressing there isn't an issue. However, you can go past 30%(estimated) or goose it and if you do the CEL comes on and the throttle pedal become unresponsive. If you reset the CEL then it returns to normal until you do it again. You can literally drive it up to highway speeds with some pedal and it shifts great and runs excellent. So, not sure what is happening here. Below is a copy of the file. Thanks for any input.

P0606 happens when something in the ECM's throttle settings disagree with something in the ETC's two segments (which are not accessible in HPT). If you've changed anything in Airflow > Electronic Throttle, put it back. If you've got a file that been segment swapped from some other vehicle/engine, good luck.

Here is a log file. It bogs down when goosing it to 75% throttle. The CEL didn't trip for a while this time then it did and the throttle pedal went dead. Hope this will shed some light.

Thanks blindsquirrel. I did post the log file to get some eyes on it. At least we got the ECM/TCM compatible with the transmission now and those codes are gone. Now it's this one, which we never had before.

This is a GM Gen 4 problem, not a VCM Editor problem. Unless your criteria is that any changes to any tune file have to be done through the Editor... in which case, every tuning question would be an Editor question. I think this would be better dealt with here: https://forum.hptuners.com/forumdisp...ne-Gas-(Gen-4)

Ok, however, I have no idea how to move it over there.

We see this code often with failing ECM's. They do fail. I'd say I see more bad ECM's than bad starters and alternators.

Put as much of the tune back to stock first. ETC setting can cause this. Yours appears to already be stock. It likely needs a new ECM

Is your vehicle an actual 2007 Tahoe? If not, what are you tuning? Be specific. Swap vehicle? What is the engine? What is/was the donor vehicle?

Not only do the ETC tables need to remain stock, they need to go with the application. A 2007 Tahoe will have different tables than say a 2010 Camaro.

There are lots of times you'll have bad parts out of the box.

his ETC stuff odes appear to be stock.

Yes, but might not agree with the application.

Not sure why or where you are seeing the 2007 Tahoe. It is supposed to be for a 2010 Express Van. Can you clarify is that what you are seeing in the tune/log?

And there may be your P0606 problem. If indeed the donor motor/t-body/pedal/PCM are from a 2010 Express van, the ETC tables may be completely different. I don't think I have a 2010 Express van to do a compare.

Edit: The attached is off the repository. ETC tables are all different.

If that's what your donor vehicle is/was, I'd do a write entire with this file. Need to make sure it's compatible with your PCM first though. Not all E38s are the same. There's multiple PNs.

Edit 2: Pretty sure a 2007 PCM will NOT accept a 2010 OS. You probably need a different PCM completely.

Edit 3: You could try just swapping over all the ETC tables and see if that cures it. If not, there's probably some background stuff going on that needs a write entire (OS swap essentially) to fix.
