Having the firmware doesn't mean much, the issue is the ECU uses very very high level of encryption so you can't write it. There's zero chance the encryption itself will get cracked. The only possible workaround is physical modification to the ECU to replace component. Even if you get the ECU modified it's not like you'll be able to fire up HP Tuners and start tuning the ECU. Flashing these modified ECUs will probably, for the time being, be limited to those doing the actual hardware modification.
