    Snake Eater Performance 1500cc

Has anyone dialled a set of Snake Eater Performance 1500cc injectors in that could share experience and data?

Why would you buy gigantic injectors that don't come with high quality data in the format you need? I'm sure anyone who has spent their own hard earned time and energy to make them junkers work ain't gonna be here handing that info out.

    Jus sayin.....

There are a lot of post on non-tuning forums about always getting the largest injectors you can so you have room to grow. Always sounded like a bad idea to me without having any real tuning knowledge, just knowing the basics of how injectors work and a little about how fluid dynamics work. I guess it works okay with high quality injectors, but even then there has to be some limit.

Yes! I tell people, customers, and I sell injectors appropriately sized for the application. Especially if it's a streetcar. You want as much low pulse width control as possible. So really, you want the smallest injector you can get away with, without actually maxing it out. The larger you go in size, the more of that control you lose inherently. I even have a cool saying to describe it to the average idiot. You can borrow it if you want to. "Making a big ass injector idle is like trying to fill a shot glass with a fire hose". LOL

Loving this banter with absolutely no knowledge of myself and what I'm up to. My car is pushing the power to warrant the injector size. I have been given these injectors to try brand new. I do have data for them but was reaching out for input from others that may have dialled them in done from the original data or had some constructive input on them. I am well aware of Sep injectors. It just seems funny to me how many people I come across that shit can them but then when you press them on it they have 0 experience with actually using them. I am currently running Fic injectors but before that I ran a set of DW injectors for 10 years that I was told was going to ( blow my shit up... )

Maybe the Dodge world isn't this way but GM world is different. With good injector data, you don't dial the data in. Just enter it and move on.

LOL if you've been "given" those injectors by the company, it's because they want you to figure out how to make them work LOL Free engineering for them LOL

The reason everyone, myself included, shit can them is because they don't provide any data with them. I'm not going to spend hours upon hours trying to figure out how to make them work. And in the outside chance I do, I damn sure ain't giving that knowledge to the first yahoo that asks for it on some tuning message board.

There is some serious engineering in trying to map out the first millisecond or two of injector operation. I'm a really good oscilloscope guy and I've done my share of rough handed injector charactization way back in the day before you couldn't really get any decent data for big injectors. 1500cc injectors ain't no joke. Dodge format sucks compared to GM. Anyone who's spent the time to figure out injectors THAT BIG that don't come with data ain't giving it away. And for you to expect that is absurd. Figure it out yourself.

Lol.. once again you assume alott... I have been given them from a friend... and if you had experience with SEP at all you would know they supply days freely that was developed be Greg Bantish and if you go to there web page you can download the input data. Like I said. I have input data but was chasing experience.. which I am now sure you don't have in these injectors in particular. Thanks

You are 100% correct I do not have experience with those injectors. Not at all ashamed to admit it. Good luck finding someone with the data you're seeking.

Yes, give them back to your friend , Neither LS or Mustang style Injectors have the proper spray pattern for G3 hemi(s) you'll be chasing your tail trying to get these to work.

Free is for me, doesn't do you any good when fuel puddles on one side or the other of the intake port runner.

I would return them to your buddy , they're the worst in the market and most Professional tuners wont touch them based off their experience . i had serval fail from customer wanting to use them. i tried them in the srt4 and hemis and LS , i dont recommend them.

This is a poor attitude to have. We have these forums to help each other. I help people all the time for free, and it usually pays off because they may buy something from me later or send someone to me. You argument is you did all the work and you don't want to share it.... I get it.... but having an attitude like this isn't very helpful for our hobby. I won't lie, I cringed when I read it.

I've been a member here for 17 years. I've done my share of helping people out. Whether my attitude is poor or not, to expect someone to give you something like data for 1500cc injectors, data which does not exist otherwise, is preposterous. You reverse engineer those injectors and make them work, that's gold. I don't see anyone, especially someone who does this for a living, giving that info away for free to just anybody asking for it on a message board.

I get how you feel, but that attitude is not helpful for progression of our hobby. There?s people that are probably far smarter and experienced than you or I that post free stuff just because they want to help, not selfishly want money for it. Example. PCM hacking. There?s guys that did all this work to reengineer tuning bits and post it for free. Much more work than injector data. Then the guy that figured out the cable and gauge programming for the GTo. Did it for free. I try to give back any way I can, when I can and I don?t expect money for it. I?ve given ?random? guys on a forum, injector data for free numerous times. I?ve had people give me injector data also. I don?t see why someone would want to keep that secret from the community. I guess there ?giving? people and people just out for a dollar. Whatever. I only posted because I saw your post and it made my stomach turn and wanted to put in my .02.

The data exists.. I was chasing experience... There is a reason that people find hemi tuning so confronting... Unlike the LS world people dont help people as much.

So it is and I'll eat some crow. I still won't use them in anything and don't know any other pros who do. Glad other people came in here and glad you decided to go with the IDs.
