    PID Accuracy

    Hi Guys,
Posted in VCM Scanner but was redirected here, so apologies if you see this twice.
When logging a PID that has several different PID listings (Throttle Position for example has 1 "Throttle Position SAE" and 3 "Throttle Position"), which is the preferred PID to log as far as accuracy goes? I logged two of them on the way in to work this morning and saw significant differences so got me wondering which is more accurate.
    This is on a 2017 Camaro ZL1.
Appreciate any insight you guys are willing to throw my way.
    Thanks!

Choose the Hi Res version and then select "No, I know what I am doing" when it asks if you want to use the SAE channel.

How do you identify which is the Hi Res version?

The other throttle position PIDs that do not have the SAE suffix are manufacturer-specific PIDs that are defined by GM and may not be supported by other vehicles. These PIDs may show different values depending on how they are calculated or scaled by the vehicle's ECU. For example, some PIDs may show the voltage of the throttle position sensor (TPS) instead of the percentage of the throttle opening, or they may show a different range of values than 0-100%. These PIDs may also have different names or descriptions depending on the scanner software or device that you are using.geometry dash scratch

Therefore, the preferred PID to log for accuracy may depend on your purpose and preference. If you want to log a PID that is consistent and compatible with most vehicles and scanners, you may want to use the SAE PID. If you want to log a PID that is specific and customized for your vehicle and scanner, you may want to use one of the GM PIDs. However, you should also be aware of how each PID is measured and what it represents, as they may not be directly comparable or interchangeable.

Thanks for that breakdown. I see several Throttle Position (ratio) PIDs in the scanner, so I'll dig in and see what these others look like.
