    Throttle Angle

Hi, I'm newer to tuning with Electronic Throttle Bodies. I have a 2013 F-150 5.0l and noticed the max throttle angle set to 82 degrees. two-part question, what is the max angle recommended for peak HP? Has anyone raised the max angle and had the TB fail because it was operated at a higher angle? Thanks in advance for any input.

82 is actually the max the blade will ever go - psychically speaking.

That's the max angle in the throttle body model as well. If it could go more than 82*, I don't see there being any increase or benefit.

Thank you for your input guys. My curiosity got the better of me today and I set the max angle to 87 deg. lol. It shows actual and desired reaching 87 but you're correct I didn't see a performance increase in my 0-60 time. Maybe it is not showing the true physical angle. IDK
