2015 Silverado EForce MAP Setup Issue

2015 Silverado base EForce Kit comes with a multi-plug harness adapter that incorporates factory MAF and MAP plugs.

However, the harness loom combines the stock 1bar behind Throttle Body with the added Bosch 2.5bar TMAP (0261230042) on side of supercharger.

Calibrating MAP in the file for 2.5bar gives wrong data, but 1bar cal give accurate data (ie 99kpa KOEO, etc). So it seems that it is reading voltage from the stock 1bar sensor, but how do I get it to read the 2.5 TMAP sensor?

The stock TB sensor would not see any boost since before the SC.

Came with SCT but this is cammed with LTHs so sticking with HP. And have wasted 1.5 hrs on hold for Edelbrock and always am "next caller in line"

Ultimately, what puzzle piece might I be missing here?

I think it would be smart to use the SCT.. then read it back out with hptuners.

Edelbrock supercharger kits since the GEN 4 stuff has been updated something ridiculous like 4 separate times with different TMAP sensors. The temp sensor doesn't read the same and the map sensors are all over the place.. It is really frustrating trying to figure out what they came with and find good data for them in GM format. Having a base tune solves that at least.

So I finally got Edelbrock Tech on the phone and it turns out that this new harness uses the TMAP only for IATs, and the 1bar sensor at TB for all MAP readings (!)
He said this was due to EPA Emissions issues and that their base tunes in SCT use voodoo in the PE fueling to bandaid boosted fueling as it does not recognize boost in this configuration.

Thankfully he is sending me the harness wiring diagram that will allow me to rewire things to read the 2.5bar MAP and ignore the 1bar, and then tune accordingly.

    Just nuts...

Thats a very silly way to set up these vehicles.
I would expect more from edelbrock....

They need to switch to a SCIAP setup.
And i suggest you do as well.

Then you have a barometer in the airbox, a sciap sensor before the roots, and a Map sensor post blower.

I'm very surprised they can get a EPA emissions approved tune doing it their way.
where if they mimicked the ZL1's sensor configuration, the engine would just be a ton happier.

I've seen Ford MAP sensors in those Edelbrock SC kits for GM vehicles. Odd, but not truly wrong. Just a pain when it comes to scaling.

They did it that way to control throttle too since it'll never see the boost it's making. Do it the way Will said especially since you already have everything for it. Worse case you have to rewire things to work. You're most likely going to need to alter background tables to get good true throttle control. You won't be happy with a SCIAP alone.

Wait, you mean things don't get better when private equity vampires sweep in and roll up everything they can get their tiny hands on in a particular field? Doubling retail prices while at the same time moving all their production offshore doesn't make things better? I am shocked.

I've yet to see a reasonable tune from any supercharger manufacturer.. I can't think of any that truly use more than 1 bar fueling even. They might come with a 2 bar map but the VVE tables aren't set up for it for example.

I agree, He should wire that stock map sensor in as a SCIAP.

Agreed. All they're doing is jacking up the PE and knocking 10 degrees out of it. They don't care if it runs good, they just don't want DIY Jimmy to blow his shit up.
