crackle tune, how to increase intensity without shredding cats

not really sure how to word what im asking, but basically i want to make the dfco pops more intense but without risking blowing out my cats and sensors. right now i have it set up so at lower rpm its a soft burble and higher rpm it pops a bit, which is exactly what i want, but i want the higher rpm range to be more of a snap than a "pah" (but not an obnoxious gunshot) because it just kinda sounds bad and like there is a problem with the engine. i have long tubes and high flows so the cats should be a bit safer than the stock cats due to distance, but i still dont want to risk it too much.

side question: is there also a way to increase engine braking while still under the dfco transition while coasting but before it actually cuts fuel?

Look into a Corvette file. They have a nice burble on decel from the factory. Won't have to worry about damage with it. Look at what's done for spark at high rpm/low MAP and DFCO.
