Australian rookie where do I start

Hiya guys I have an Australian Holden Commodore/Calais with an LFX 6 cylinder motor in it

Anyways I need to disable E85 on my ecu as the vehicle doesn't have an E85 sensor but the new motor and ecu thinks it's meant to...the car surges when going up hill and misfires or something

Anyhow the local electrician wants to charge me $750 just to disable this one thing..which I think is a joke

I studied I.T at university surely I can do HP tuning myself?

What do I need, a certain cable? A laptop and the software?

    Thanks for any help....

Post your tune. Should be really simple to make that adjustment to it.

Also, a log just to check that nothing else is going on.

You'll need to purchase an MPVI for all that though.

The software is free. Each vehicle costs credits.

Best to check that your vehicle is even supported.

    Hey thanks so much

I've looked through the supporting vehicles and my 2011 Holden Commodore 3.6 litre doesn't seem to be there very strange?

    The 2005 to 2008 are 🤔

In Australia every second commodore is getting a tune, I will also ask on the commodore forum...
