I deleted DFCO to cure a backfire condition that happened on the let off. It worked just fine for a little while but one morning when I started the engine it ran real rough for a few seconds then cleared up. I took it out and found out that the delete of DFCO was gone it was backfiring again. I cleared it and reentered the calibration again. It ran OK and the backfire as gone. The next day when I started it the same thing happened again ran rough then OK and the backfire was back.
My question is can the PCM override what I changed on it's own??

The ECU changes some values based on the enviroment conditions (Humitidy/Pressure/etc.) but these values are in the ECU, too.
