Detect Protocol Failed using MPVI3 on Golf 7 GTI

Hi, I am trying to connect a brand new MPVI3 to a Golf 7 GTI and when i try to read file a Detect Protocol Failed pops up.
Tried both scanner and editor and both same issue.
Connecting my Launch Diagnostic scanner and using data stream works fine on car. Any help or ideas to try much appreciated, thanks.
