New Fuel Pump VE Try 2

So I was having a lot of issues with tunability with these injectors got better data from detchwerks then fuel psi started dropping off. There was a lot of back and forth in the last thread so I started a new one. Just need to make sure im headed in the right direction still. My wideband crapped out or i need to re-calibrate it so disregard that in the logs.

The fuel trims look good and all that but the VE table still seems inflated. You really shouldn't have values over 100 like that in the upper rpms with bigger injectors.

If you are using the wideband to tune, have you been disabling the fuel trims when doing it and just using your wideband data?

Also just something I noticed, your engine is running awfully cool, like 150-160 degrees. If it was a drag car that could make sense but to me I'd rather have it warmer around 180-190.
2016 Silverado CCSB 5.3/6L80e, not as slow but still heavy.

If you don't post your tune and logs when you have questions you aren't helping yourself.

It has to be the injector data I got way to big injectors for an NA build after I put the ColdCase Radiator in temps take forever to creep up in the cold I always get worried in the 200 range at a light because it creeps to 210 which is probably fine. Been using stfts to tune VE just using the wideband as a secondary verication on the afr

Alright we’ll it’s good to know it’s not just my setup or injectors did you have a tough time tuning with them?. At this point I’m going to re write back the updated injector data tune because once I re tried tuning the ve better I keep getting a pop on tip in and it seems like it’s just making it worse.

mine were easy besides going back and forth 100s of times making sure i have the data right. everyone says with a inflated ve that the data/fuel pressure has to be off. so i got a new walbro 255 and rechecked data. seems like everyone with deatschwerks seem to have inflated ve tables . so im SUBSCRIBED.

Exactly my whole other thread deatchwerks did send me updated data because the VE was very inflated low map High Rpm. The new data fixed that then WOT Fuel pressure was dropping to 40 after 4000rpm replaced also with a walbro 255lph reset regulator base PSI tried tuning the original file that a good member on here gave me and seems like I just need more research into tuning the ve. I kept correcting off STFTS and was rich tried lowering VE values and now it’s starting to run like crap again. Your VE table is exactly where mine should be at I feel like too. What injectors did you get the truck ones, or regular ls1 injectors?

200 is nothing to worry about. 210 is nothing to worry about.

I know I figured I always figured colder wouldn’t be that bad but I’m going to have to put some sort of restriction in on the return tube to the overflow the radiator I have flows like crazy.

Alright let me know. The AEM ones come with the LSU4.9. Much more accurate. Both AEM 30-0300 classic with serial output and 30-0334 CANBUS use that sensor.

Which one should I get do you think moving forward? Either I can try to replace the sensor for the auto meter but I believe the resistor on the o2 is calibrated different from auto meter? Or just get the aem one I feel like it’s something else not the sensor because I pull it out to air it pegs to 17 it’s ever since I disconnected battery for the fuel pump install

If you're just wanting to replace the sensor then get the one that's made for that controller. Switching to AEM will require getting the whole kit. Have you tried a free air cal yet?

I have the 0334 CAN bus. I also purchased the Pro feature set and run it analog for pre CAN vehicles. Works great.

I ordered the 0334 should be here tomorrow is it better to run serial or run through egr? My 01 doesn’t support the canbus I believe. And the thermostat is the stock one I didn’t put a cooler one in. It’s also winter in New England but not that cold as usual I know it will run hotter in summer
