Question [ECM] 12440 - Open Loop Airflow Gain vs. MAP vs. RPM

Open Loop Airflow Gain vs. MAP vs. RPM: This table is used to multiply the Equivalence Ratio when in open loop mode.

I want to verify that this is indeed a multiplication factor and NOT a division factor. Most of the EQ ratio calculations per my ECM have been via division and not multiplication. So this has thrown me off. I initially did 1.05 x 14.12, which is going reverse of where I want to go. But the OL fueling did not change. Not sure if the parameter isn't.....active? Or if it won't lean out past stoich in this situation.

Most of the time it's a multiplier, but on gen V's like you stated multipliers work the opposite. Smaller numbers add fuel. Bigger numbers take it away. Don't know on the gen V's if this is active as I haven't had a transient fueling issue with one of them to need adjusting this. I often use that table to aid with transients on gen 4's.

EDIT - I should also note that on gen V's a .001 is a 1% change. This same rule applies o some of the multipliers on the 4th gens only obviously the numbers move in the opposite directions to do the same things. You are also correct for PE. It will not command leaner than stoic.
