no your going to need newer version of hpt.
can the l5p be bench upgraded ? i see the upgrade tool connects to ecm fuse. so if that fuse was connected to a 12v the also cooperates with the bench tuning setup for switched ign voltage would that work ? or does it have to be installed in a vehicle ?

I already own that. i also have a bench tuning setup for the lb7s. i was wondering if i had the right connectors to plugs the l5p ecm to the benchtop setup if i could perform the upgrade on the bench. and just figure out how to simulate the fused power that the upgrade tool connects to in the fuse boxOriginally Posted by dieselpitstop

I Have their original one yes. i know ill have to upgrade it to the newer ones which are now benchforce. but was just more curious if its possible. i have a friend who has a l5p ecm and was curious if its possible or if it must be installed in a vehicle.

YES its is possible.
what would i do with the two wires from the fuse ? im guessing the upgrade device uses one as a 12v input then makes the own pcm turn on voltage with the second wire.

can the e41 upgrade ONLY be done with the vcm suite beta ? or can it be done with the latest stable version of vcm suite ?
