Unhappy i scan and get nothing?!?

i have 5 scans all using my mpvi pro, 2 are of the car off(was just trying to check ses lights), and 3 are driving around, but all 5 scans show nothing, not one bit of anything, ive got 12 minutes of nothing along with another scan of 6 minutes of nothing, am i doing something wrong? i have it configured to default imperial, was just tryin to use it for the first time.

Did you select the start scan in the toolbar( shaped like the play symbol)?

im not using the comp to scan im blackbox logging and its not gettin any info at all i scan the car by holding record for 2sec, it turns on, got record light on, then when im done i hold stop it turns off, i bring it in, load it on the comp and i have minutes of nothing like i open the file and hit play it will sit there and play nothing for how ever long it was recording.

It sounds like you need to upload a config to the interface...

first, foff yes ive considered but 56k is not my friend, ive tried it before and im trying it again but the demos do not load for me, but yes i have read all the help files, offline and online. also tony first post says i have it configured to default imperial, yes i have it plugged into the car, otherwise the unit would have no power, yes the record light is on, yes i stop recording before i shut off everything, yes there is data saved, its all saved on my comp but shows nothing. i open up a log and hit play and it just flatlines the whole time for how ever long i was logging 0's across the board. i sent a file to wrench monkey last night and he goes.... thats weird.

How did you log with the car off? You mean motor off?

Like Bill said, you need to post up information, file, ect if you want some real help.

I talked to him via IM earlier today...the only problem is he doesnt have a laptop so its hard for him to do the initial connection to properly setup the parameters. Its recording, just bad data for some reason. I gave him step by step instructions which if they work great if he follows my instructions it should go as smoothly as a hot knife through butter

If it doesnt then theres probably something wrong with his hardware & told him to contact support.
