    Second Hand - Used ECU??

Has anyone ever purchased an ECU used, for thier Ford Ecoboost??
My OEM ECU is programmed via Cobb and I am having issues with trying to unmarry it and return my ECU to it's factory tune.
My thinking is, why not just pull the ECU and shelf it and my Cobb Accessport. Purchase another ECU from a similar car and start fresh with my HPtuners Interface.

Done it at work a few times when we needed one for a build, just a matter of getting the correct one, then reflashing it with the latest version for the platform. Keep in mind, you buy a used one, long as it's the correct version for the car, when you do the reflash it will get the new VIN from the car it's going in.

    Thanks for your response!
Getting it cloned doesn't seem impossible, but I'll have to trailer it, to get the key programmed.
It'll be a few weeks till I'm able to work on it again, but I will try and update this post with results.
