i dont have the disk here at my shop, its at my house. Is this why, because i havent upgraded?
Ya, its a free upgrade, the software is on the customer login page, and it has MANY updates over your existing software.
You don't need the disk at all.. Everything you need is on the custome rlogin page.

sweet..got it to work...ok..now..next part...can i just download it to the pcm now? or cut and copy? in the past when i ve tried it failed because it said incorrect vin????
thanks
we never recommend just slapping a tune from the repository in your vehicle without knowing the file...they are a use at your own risk deal which is why the warning pops up when you are about do d/l one.
You'd first need to make sure you have both the license for your vehicle as well as the file you want to put in. Then make sure they are even compatible(otherwise you'll fry your pcm). then you'd need to do a write entire since your changing operating systems.
Have fun.

i think i understand. Im not just trying out a random tune, the tune is coming off the same set up as me basically..so i was goin to use it as a starting place.
whether its the same setup as you or not, if its in the repository its random
For all you know a person with less tuning experience than you couldve uploaded thattune to the repository. Im not saying thats the case but I do say take those tunes with a grain of salt...view them, compare them, learn from them ok...copy them or do a write entire into your pcm with them, last thing I would do.

thanks guys...i lucked out and found a pretty good tune to start out with ..
Rolling the dice.... why not just copy relevant and verfied tables/data?
FWIW, I downloaded stock bins for all years F-body both M6 and A4. It turns out that over half of them were NOT stock.
