    2017 5.7 Hemi Tune assistance Cam, lifters, Injectors

    Here it goes.

    1. Truck Norris cam 212/23x
    2. VVT limiter -4cam
    3. hellcat Non MDS lifters
    4. long tube headers
    5. 35 lb/hr injectors. unless you know a better combo for above.

    I'm relatively new to this. I have the MDS disabled. need some assistance with the tune

    your stock injectors are fine for that combo

    here is a tune that i think should get you started up. its based off an old cam i had that was similarish in specs, so should start and run long enough to get a log. also dont know if you have cats or not, so i didnt disable any of that

    Alright, let me know. Not sure how well it will run though, but the tune ran good on mine, but every car is different

    That got her running! She?s an eye burner at the moment. Here?s a short clip. I have the stock fuel injectors in it and it has a -4cam VVT limiter in it. not sure if it?s something to do with the VVT as well.

    Thats just the fueling that needs dialed in. But with it running, that can be dialed in. You know how to tune the fuel ttims correct?

    Ok, i beileve there is a thread on it here. But you need to make a math parameter of long term - short term fuel trims for bank 1 and 2, then you can copy and multiply by half into the ve tables

    thank you, another question. since this is a VVT camshaft with a -4cam limiter. is there more i should be taking into consideration?

    For the vvt, most keep it fully advanced(dodge uses the exhaust tables, so its backwards) of 125, till about peak torque, then retard to the shift point. Ive adjusted it in the tune, but if youre on a dyno, you can fine tune it better. You can check the compare files to see the diferences. If you are worried about fuel milage, i believe you can retard it a few degrees to bump up the mpgs

    This is all great info right here. Only thing I can think to add is to make sure that you log the parameter "Exhaust Cam Center Position" in VCM scanner to verify where exhaust cam full advanced is for your set-up. Because you may find max advanced to be 128, depending on your cam, in which case you would just keep it fully advanced at 128 until peak torque and then retard from there down to 124, based on the limiter listed in your description.

    Most the guys here are very knowledgeable and their are a handful that truly don't mind helping others are all about the money and if this forum was about just putting your business out there that's on that person however if their is a way to help someone else let alone someone starting up tuning that's a true enthusiast.

    Just now seeing this! thanks for joining the discussion. truly appreciated. this has been a steep learning curve for me, i have the fuel trims at idle looking a lot better but the timing needs attention I believe. it will be another long night of studying for me. sorry I didn't catch this in time but tomorrow I will grab a new data log including exhaust cam centering position. here is a log from todays efforts idle trims close.hpl
