Used MPVi3 says "Another User owns the interface" when trying to add to my account

Hi, I bought a used MPVi3 and went to sync it.....had issues, but FINALLY got it to resync/update which was successful.......
BUT once I tried to add the device to my HPTuner account it gives me "Another User owns the interface." and cannot register it......
What do I need to do to register device to my account?
Serial Number of device is MPVi3 # 2179545895
I bought this used last year and just tried to update and register and also I cannot contact previous owner.
OH and I have a a support ticket number of #409270
Any help is appreciated.
