Flash AEM 30-0310 to work on OBD CAN

Have any of you mad scientists successfully enabled the OBD CAN capabilities of the AEM 30-0330 on the 30-0310? I would use the 30-0330 OBD passthrough for CAN vehicles and plug in the 30-0310 harness with with the ProLink+ for older cars. I realize you can wire the 30-0330 to do both but I don't want the gauge.
