ZF8HP / 845RE Shift Scheduling

Have a 2019 Charger SXT AWD with the Torqueflite 8 speed. All works good except for 1 annoying issue. It won't downshift to 1st gear unless completely stopped for at least one half a second. I CAN get it to downshift to 1st gear before completely stopping ONLY if I use Auto-Stick. I have the needed interface cable to allow programming BUT trying to interpret the SHIFT SCHEDULING tables is next to impossible. (WHO EVER WROTE THE 8 SPEED PROGRAMMING INTERFACE WAS A SADIST!!!) Who needs 5 Aggression sections, various non-aggression sections and about 100 shift schedules??? QUESTIONS: How do I determine what shift schedule I'm in when slowing to a stop? Will editing the 2 to 1 shift RPM section @ near zero throttle position be sufficient to get the transmission to downshift to 1st gear BEFORE completely stopping???

Also, is there a VERY comprehensive manual the explains the programming of the ZF-based 8 speed???

Could very well be normal. Attache a log of it when coming to a stop and waiting for it to engage 1st. Be sure to include all the transmission channels.

add pid 'shift ID'

Will editing the 2 to 1 shift RPM section @ near zero throttle position be sufficient to get the transmission to downshift to 1st gear BEFORE completely stopping???

yeah but you are gonna have to edit more than one table

For each mode, it is addressed shift schedules. As the base software is the same for all applications, it requires a lot of different shift schedules to cover all applications and all modes for different vehicles.
Aggression is normally liked to driving mode (as well as shift schedule).
