    C6 corvette flashed with the stock program blocked?

    So i was trying to flash this car, the original ECU i could read it without problems, he bought a new ECU and flashed it with a GM tool and now comes as if it was blocked

    tune0 new ecu.hpt

    any ideas on how to get past this?

    That's not flashed with a GM tool.

    It looked like a MDI 2, blue box, the car works good but it wont let me open the tunes

    HPtuners recognizes it as tuner locked. Not corrupt, not unable to open, locked.

    A little confused. So after a SPS GM flash for new ECM, it runs and has no drive ability issues. It will communicate with a typical OBD2 scanner. When you go to read with the Editor and attempt to get configuration it won't let you or when you go for a read it times out, or no communication, or gives some form of error.
    Or is it you are looking at your tune file without it hooked to the vehicle and it will not open on your PC/Laptop?

    I was typing when you wrote this. I have programmed thousands of modules over the last 30+ years at a GM dealer. Never had one that I SPS, programmed that also locked it. Maybe the MDI was used as a passthrough for a different program?

    Not sure, doesn't sound right though. I've been flashing them SPS for about the same time period. Still do them almost weekly.
