EFI live tuned car but want to go HP

Do the persons that swapped my LS tuned the car with EFI live. I like how the motor performs for the most part, but the trans appears way off or is damaged. It?s a modified lm7 with a 200 shot so I would like to keep the tune I have on the engine. Can HP tuners copy the EFI tune so I don?t have to flash it back to square one?

The only issue could be if the car is tuned with an EFI custom OS, which changes the OS number etc, which may confuse the VCM software and prevent the software from recognizing what it is. But otherwise if OS was not changed, should work just fine. I've used both on my gen3 LS.

HPtuners actually has the ability now to read, understand and modify some EFIlive custom operating systems. Hook up to it and try reading it out. If there is no custom OS applied it'll read out like any other vehicle.

Thank you guys. I want to buy an HP but didn?t want to waste the money to find out I would have to buy a new ecm. I still have contact info for the seller so hopefully if locked he could unlock it so I can try the HP. Appreciate the info.
