    New to tuning

Can anyone out there take a look at this data and tell me what they see? I have a 2013 Ram 2500, 5.7, 66RFE 4x4 drivetrain. I've been battling a strange rpm drop under acceleration at half and full throttle. It falls flat on its face and at times is dangerous entering highways or trying to pass. I've done all the normal general maintenance, checked sensors, cleaned sensors, had a regular tune-up IE plugs, cleaned the throttle body and so on. Had some transmission issues previously and had a unit built by Veterans Powertrain out of Wisconsin. I'm at a total loss as to what's causing this problem. It is healthy and pulls strong but has a real problem I can't figure out.

Post the tune file. And if you've modified it, post the modified as well as the unmodified version.

I have not modified this truck at all, the factory file is attached. Eventually, I'll get into it and clean up some tables but wanted some input on what these symptoms could be first before modifying anything in the tune. I'd love to find someone reputable to tune the transmission, the 66RFE has to be the worst unit I've ever experienced.

OK, looking at your data log, you're logging a bunch of trans pids but no torque management pids. I would get rid of ALL your trans pids EXCEPT trans current gear, TCC slip and TCC locked. Get rid of all of them besides those 3. Then, add as many torque management pids as possible.

Once you have that setup, do another data log. You need to capture what you're trying to diagnose. When you do, you'll need to know where it is in the data log so you can point me/us to it. There are 2 timers at the bottom of the scanner. One is clock time the other is data log run time. I need to know when it happens in data log run time.

That's your homework for this evening.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. I have plenty of time to pull some good data and adjust PIDs tomorrow.

I set as many Torque management PIDs as I had available. This is a lengthy test drive but I was able to capture the problems. From the 11 minute mark of the log until the end of the log I was able to capture the hesitation and rpm loss. Recorded times of interest in the log file, minute mark 11:45/13:30. Every pull from 11 minute mark to the end of the log has the same issue recurring.
