I got a new to me rs but when I try to read the file all the tabs show up blank. Only tab that seems to populate is the system tab for AWD and Rear Drive Unit.
I tried updating the software, I'm using the MPVI2
I tried searching and found one or two forums stating I might need to get the computer reflashed with a factory map because the previous owner had cobb or similar.
Am I'm reading the Awd system and not the ecu, how do I make sure I'm reading the proper area through the obd2 port if it's not automatically pulling the correct section through the obd2 port?
I have tuned an st and a couple other cars on different platforms but never had a problem reading the files. To me it seems like the ecu might be locked to another software, but I would like to be sure before I have the ecu reflashed.

I never ran into that issue, similar but not quite yours, but my issues were always resolved using the Beta version of the software. I would try that route and if that doesnt work, I would open a ticket with support.
