Intermittent StartUp Problem P59 6.0l Truck Norris Cam

Hey guys I would appreciate some insight as to what could be wrong with this setup/calibration.
2000 Escalade LQ4 swapped p59 controller Speed Density OS
Truck Norris cam with BTR .660 springs
    PSI conversion harness w/DBW setup.

Runs great just needs some suspension work at this point. My problem is startup, seems like its not firing at the right time on first crank sometimes. Fuel pressure gauge showed I'm holding at least 30 psi after about an hour so I don't believe its a supply issue. Tried Leaning out and richening up on start up but ultimately same condition. If I turn the key on, then key off, then crank it seems to start right up most times but not always. I'm wondering if I'm having a voltage issue or something, also using ls3 coils on it. Didnt change any dwell settings though, don't know if that could be an issue. Ill attach logs and my tunestart up log.hplstart up log 2 no start.hplstart up log 3 long crank startup on 2nd crank.hplTune File speed Density.hpt

Forgot to add I also added some fuel after that first log I believe under cranking VE I was trying some different setting then reverted back to my original setting afterwards.

Lower cranking ve by a percentage. Startup airflow delay and friction airflow delay try numbers from 60-25 on each, 50 and 25 to start.

Try this and see if it helps.

Might not have anything to do with it but BRAF seems unreasonably high for that combo.

Okay been playing with settings you guys recommended this morning and these are my results thus far.
This last time its started up great. I initially start the car after a write and it kinda sounds like shit so I always cut it off and start it again and its smooth so that why you see me start it twice on the logs that dont include a time where I waited. The friction and startup delay airflow changes allowed me to go to it after an hour and it started right up. Gonna let it sit another hour and see if she goes right to it again. Was watching my voltage KOEO before starting it and seen 11.5v, remember seeing some other posts where that could of been a problem for some people. What do you guys think?

What does the voltage do when cranking? And how much starting vs running when seeing the 11.5v? A fully charged battery should be higher.

I just added a couple grams because this thing was dipping rpms at some very light throttle blips moving it around the parking lot. I felt these numbers were because I'm not using a MAF at the moment. Should also say I haven't mounted my IAT in the intake tube just yet, just have it connected the a MAF sitting in the engine bay. Startup has been killing me for a week at least so I haven't gotten everything done "the right way" just yet.

Last log showed 11.6v before cranking then 9.8v during cranking but it did start right up, this is control module voltage too, I haven't been checking directly at the battery.

I think control voltage tends to follow battery voltage pretty closely unless you have poor grounds. It probably isn't fully charged. I would start with putting a battery charger on it and then check voltage. If it won't get up to 12.6v or still drops to 9.8 it's at least getting close to needing a new battery. Might not be your particular problem, but may be a problem.

Try setting idle adaptive airflow min gear and p/n to 0 and dialing the BRAF in slightly above what true BRAF is. I usually lower the throttle cracker quite a bit and raise the speeds 2-3mph higher. Here is a file for comparison.

Figured out the starting problem, this thread got me right.

    https://forum.hptuners.com/showthrea...light=Cam+sync

Had a new sensor in it initially from Oh Oh Oh OREILLYS and had another motor that I freshened up with another Oreillys special in it and had the same condition. Saw that thread, went to a 5.3 I have sitting around and took the cam sync out of there with all the dirt and oil caked on it. Cleaned it up set it in and she starts like she’s supposed to. Definitely a learning lesson.

Gonna put the MAF on it and clean up the BRAF table, thanks for the help everyone.
