    Bricked p59 ecu HELP FIND REPLACEMENT

    What information do I need to replace my bricked p59

    Do I just grab any green blue connector ecu out the junkyard?

    What's steps are needed to get ecu working in my truck never done this before

    They are all over salvage yards here for $20. If it is DBW you can put any blue/green calibration in any blue/green box. You can look for the same service number one but it is not absolutely necessary. If it is DBC which should be only V6 or Vans then you need a box with the IAC driver chip. It will cost 2 more credits to flash it with your saved calibration even if it is already licensed. You will need to do a write entire. It will require the 30 minute VATS relearn if you want to keep the VATS operational. There are ways to recover a bricked P01 and P59 by taking the cover off and grounding a pin.then seeing if you can write to it with your saved file. You can probably google the procedure and find it. it is best to try that with a bench harness.
