    HPT Adapter BRP Pinout

    Hello! Looking for someone to tell me what pin does what on the adapter. I believe it?s can hi, can lo, vbatt and ground, just want to confirm what each pin is for.

    It's more complicated than that, I believe there is also some diodes tied to a few pins on the OBD2 end. I tried to make one out of an old dynojet cord with no luck for communication and didn't want to cut up my HP one to find out exactly.

    That is correct. Our adapter cables have some circuitry inside that helps the MPVIx determine what type of adapter cable is connected.

    Thanks guys, didn't want to ruin a cable for no reason. Resistors and inside components make sense
