    Building a FFR 65 Coupe

I have an LS-2 with LS-3 heads. Just motor and T56 trans.

I am hoping to use cruise control with just the PCM...

I have a e67 harness and e78 harness and computer. Are these going to be any use with the engine trans combination and cruise without a BCM?

or should I sell them and get an e38?

    Which "LS-2", early or late?

Skip the E78, weird HD truck stuff.

Which E67? There are several service numbers and calibrations don't interchange across all of them, what I mean is, a 2007 E67 can't use a 2009 E67 calibration.

E67s, being less widely used, are going to limit your choice of calibration, since it'll have to be from something originally built with a manual trans. The only manual trans E67s were supercharged.

Thank you for the reply. The LS-2 is a 58x reluctor.

I dont have the E67 yet. Will using the E67 on a naturally asperated motor be a issue? Am I going to need to do a bunch of stuff to get all the correct sensors?

I am not apposed to grabbing an E38 if need be.

I haven't done it but have heard from others that trying to use the LSA OS on a N/A engine doesn't work well. E38 would be much more universal, wider user base, cheaper parts (especially if you need a different E67 than the one you already have). E67s aren't like $1000 E40s, but I see some E38 service numbers for sale used for $20-30.

First, find the year/model/trans type you need to work with everything in the swap, then find a VIN from one built with those options, then find which Service Number ECM is needed to run that calibration. Go to Ebay and search for that Service Number and the phrase 'programmed to your VIN', you'll get a used ECM with a fresh GM SPS'ed stock cal in it. (Gen 4's can't be fully reflashed like from one platform/OS to another using only HP Tuners, there are 8 segments in the ECM but a .hpt file only contains 6 of them)

I think... and this is pulling from real old memory.

But the TBSS OS's have cruise control as simple pins going to the computer. NO BCM required.

No manual option for them though.

Have you looked at schamatics for 06-07 CTSV? Those were E67' too.

I think from doing some research that the CTS-Vs with the e67 were all LSA's

    2006-2007 CTS-V's were E67's with LS2's

    For sure.

I would guess that M6 in the file name would indicate they're for manual transmissions.
