    Pay or tune myself

    This might not be the right platform for this but hers my ?..have a gmt800 5.3 stage 3 tsp truck camshaft e85 small supercharger. It's been dyno tuned b4.and now iv been tuning on it as well when installing new injectors.anyways motor is now crap I bought a new one with forged internals it's bored to a 5.7 and I ordered a tsp stage 2 centrifugal camshaft and I have new afr heads.but everything else is the same in tune. is this something a person can tune with not that much experience. Or should I pay someone to break this motor in and get tune up to date.any opinions will be appreciated thanks

    sounds like you need to have someone else tune it for you.

I also bought a new one, it took me a long time to assemble it. But it was worth it and I had no choice. I even started reading about siru mobile and found siru mobile casino for that. But I haven’t decided yet. First, I want to understand this whole system and structure. And then I’ll watch it. Or should I pay someone to break this motor in and get tune up to date.any opinions will be appreciated thanks
    Better pay and don't kill your nerves. It will be easier this way, I know what it is.

    I'll take the road less traveled...

    I'm of the opinion you should do it yourself. I get how suck squeeze bang blow works AND I happen to know my way around computers and config tools.... And once I started with the LS world I figured I might as well learn because I like this stuff.. I now have 3 swapped rides, one is stock (not for long), one is "in-tuning" (LQ9/799/Cam/intake), and the last is in-que (4.8/turbo/cam).

    I learned to tune on the 4.8/Turbo (sloppy mech build) , got it up and running but then had it finished by a pro tuner and touched it up as needed. Having that tune helped me a ton as it helped explain the amount of change needed.

    And I was just about where you are in terms of a starting point tune for my "in-tuning" ride, I had a known good tune out of a buddies 6.0 with the same cam, slightly diff heads and intake. I was convinced it would be pretty close and would drive well enough and I'd just touch it up.. WRONG... it drives and idles like poo so be prepared for that if you do decide to do it yourself.

    Most of the guys responding to you here are providing help to me on another thread I have going and the info has been super helpful, just do your own homework and folks here are a great resource.

    So yeah thats what I would/am doing but I also have time, I could care less if it takes a month or two to get this car reasonably tuned and in the end I'll learn more.

    Something you might want to consider.. for my Turbo build the tuner turned off the MAF and the LTFT''s but left the STFT's on... I know why the MAF got turned off I don't really know why the LTFT's stayed off but I'll get to that at somepoint...
